Summer Fun

Summer Fun is a 2-week program for children currently in Pre-K and Kindergarten (Pre-K will be entering Kindergarten in September of 2010).  Daily activities include arts & crafts, music, quiet, active and educational games and 1 off site trip during the second week of each session.  Staff to child ratio is 1-11.   Due to the popularity of this program, you may only register for one session at a time.  If space is available 10 days prior to the start of the session, you may register for an additional session.  If you initially register for more than 1 session at a time, Administrative Fees, and an additional 7.5% credit card fee will apply if we have to process a refund.  Be sure your Pre-K child is in your family account to register ONLINE!  See Registration Procedures for details.
Due to the holiday we will begin on TUESDAY, JULY 6th.

Waitlist Policy: If programs are filled you may waitlist your child ONLINE or if you send in your form to us your child will be placed in site/session as you prioritize them on the registration form.  The child will be waitlisted for their first choice unless otherwise indicated by you on the registration form.

Be sure to indicate child’s t-shirt size with your registration for ALL playground programs

Playground Camps (currently in grades 1 - 5)

The Summer Playground Program provides an organized and supervised recreation experience for Fairfield’s youth currently in grades 1 through 5.  Daily activities include arts and crafts, quiet and active games, athletic events and trips.  Playgrounds run in two, 3-week sessions.  Program fee includes the cost for all trips, on site special events, a t-shirt and pizza party.  This year’s program will feature 3 trips. The Summer Playground program runs from July 6th - August 13th.

LAKE COMPOUNCE PERMISSION SLIP

Action Squad Camp (currently in grades 6 - 8)

Action Squad is for boys and girls currently in grades 6 - 8.  On-site activities include team-organized games,  arts and crafts and off-site trips each week.  Some of the trips we will be taking this year include Lake Compounce and Bowling.  The program fee includes the cost for all trips, a T-shirt and pizza party. Action Squad is offered as two 3 week sessions, beginning July 6th - August 13th.

The Special Summer Playground Program is available for any child enrolled in a Fairfield Public School Special Education Program.  Daily activities include quiet and active games, arts and crafts, beach days, movies, exercise and trips.  The Special Playground Program meets daily at Riverfield Elementary School.  For additional information, contact the Parks & Recreation Office.
